TPS provides company paid Short Term Disability to our employees.
- The STD Plan benefits begin after day 0 of accident or day 7 of illness
- The level of income for the disability period, combined with other sources, is 70% of weekly earnings up to a maximum of $3,500 per week
- Maximum length of benefits is 26 weeks
You have the option to enroll in Voluntary Long Term Disability through Guardian as well.
- The cost of the LTD Plan is paid by you with after-tax dollars. Any benefits you receive are not taxed as income
- Long Term Disability is income protection beyond short term disability
- This benefit continues to provide 60% of monthly earnings (up to a monthly maximum of $12,000) for the remainder of the disability, up to 24 months or longer with approval from carrier once the STD benefit has been exhausted
- Evidence of Insurability is required for coverage elections made outside of initial eligibility period

How to report a STD or LTD Claim?
- Call Guardian TeleGuard at 888-262-5670 between 7:00 am and 4:30 pm CST
You will also need to call TPS on or before your first day of absence to report how long you plan to be absent.
